Monday, November 2

Class activity:

 

  • Marilyn will pair up students and send you to the computers.
  • Generate a version of the poem.
  • Take a screenshot of it (hit command-shift-4 and select the poem).
  • Post a 1-paragraph analysis of the poem in our Facebook Group.
  • Include the names of both participants in the post.
  • Be prepared to present your analysis to the class.

 

Wednesday, November 4

  • Read entries 1-3 in “The Frequency Project
  • Write a 1-paragraph response to a generated haiku, tanka, terza rima or sonnet.
  • Post in our Facebook group before class.

Friday, November 6

  • Read entries 4-5 in “The Frequency Project.
  • Write a 1-paragraph response of one of the poems.
  • Post in Facebook group before class.

Professor Leonardo Flores is Chair of the English Department at Appalachian State University. He taught at the English Department at University of Puerto Rico: Mayagüez Campus from 1994 to 2019. He is President of the Electronic Literature Organization. He was the 2012-2013 Fulbright Scholar in Digital Culture at the University of Bergen in Norway. His research areas are electronic literature and its preservation via criticism, documentation, and digital archives. He is the creator of a scholarly blogging project titled I ♥ E-Poetry, co-editor of the Electronic Literature Collection, Volume 3, and has a Spanish language e-lit column in 80 Grados.
