English 3325: Modern Poetry – The Hipster Edition

Join Prof. Leonardo Flores for an exploration of the hipster poets of the early 20th century, responsible for (temporarily) shifting poetry away from Romantic subjectivity and Victorian adherence to poetic form and morality. Their poetry was innovative, edgy, annoyingly erudite, deliberately difficult, typographically experimental, and absolutely brilliant, even in its failures.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to explore the most influential poetic movement in the past century.
