"Juracán" generates situations before, during, and after a hurricane strike in the Caribbean. Named after the Taíno name for the weather event (and god), this piece is inspired by the Twitter bot @Huracan_PR, which was launched on the first anniversary of the passage of Hurricane María through Puerto Rico (September 20, 2019). This work is dedicated to all who have experienced, survived (or didn't), and continue to endure the aftermath of this and other similar weather events.
