My creative work is best described as electronic (or digital) literature or creative coding because it challenges traditional writing genres. I'm fascinated by how emoji reincorporate pictorial communication into our writing systems. My work uses emoji, randomization, and generative techniques to create minimalist works with emergent complexity.
As a cyborg digital writer, I'm in conversation with code and AI systems, which I use as programming assistants to help me achieve my artistic goals. Learn more about this process— including how to do it— in my Cyborg Digital Writing Primer. Also, I work almost exclusively with open source systems and publish them with Creative Commons licenses, so feel free to modify or adapt my works, with attribution.
Enjoy!
